![]() ![]() She's an excellent writer and weaver of stories. I'd love to see something different in Radclyffe's arsenal. But the world is full of a grand variety of women who don't fit that mold, who are just as deserving of falling in love and having a hot sex life. All lean, strong, sexy, amazingly beautiful.I suppose in a series that highlights women in the secret service that makes sense. My only criticism is that all the characters are the same when it comes to body type. It gives me hope that relationships actually do maintain a healthy sex life. Radclyffe weaves another excellent tale and her portrayal of women falling in love is addictive. It's pretty amazing when a narrator can do that for a book/series. Like I could walk into a party and know who they were by their demeanor and their voice. She nailed each character and by the end I felt like I knew Cam and Blair personally. ![]() ![]() Her narration made these audio books so much more than they would be as novels. Why don’t you run into that maze in parties and pull them out?” In the past, adults tried this, or so we’re told. There are a lot of explanations like this to keep the story going. One example: drone technology to fly over the maze for observation doesn’t work, for reasons. You can feel the author trying to pull us along towards believing, throwing in lines here and there to quell questions and preserve the mystery. This is the kind of story where suspension of disbelief only gets you so far. The maze features bleeding walls and presents those who enter it with off-kilter characters and eerie tasks. Brodsky contends that the call of the bird represents grief, and the decision not to follow it into the darkness shows reason against impulse. But the poet Joseph Brodsky’s analysis seems closest to Frost’s explanations of his own work. The poem has been interpreted in many ways: as a statement on free will, a metaphor for the darkness of the mind, a love letter to the unknown. The narrator stops at the edge of the woods, where he hears a bird from the dark depths inside, “almost like a call to come in”-but he refuses. “Come In” could be taken as a poem about a lovely stroll at dusk, but that wouldn’t be Frost’s way. 5 My little horse must think it queer 6 To stop without a farmhouse near 7 Between the woods and frozen lake 8 The darkest evening of the year. ![]() In fact, he used nature motifs to get at weightier themes-often death. 2 His house is in the village though 3 He will not see me stopping here 4 To watch his woods fill up with snow.
